You don’t need to travel to an office for quality therapy. At Morningstar Wellness we offer Florida resident clients the possibility of online (also called telehealth or virtual) counseling and parent coaching services. This means you can meet with us from the comfort of your home, office, dorm room, hotel room, or car (parked, of course!).
What is Telehealth?
Through audio and video over the internet, you can meet with us on-the-go from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. We’ll meet online via an easy-to-use HIPAA compliant video conferencing system. Just like a face-to-face appointment, your telehealth visit will be private and confidential.
Benefits of Telehealth
- Convenience: Telehealth appointments make it possible to have an appointment wherever and whenever. Oftentimes people might avoid therapy because they believe they lack the time for an appointment. For individuals with busy schedules or time-intensive jobs, this flexibility is ideal.
- Ease of Access: A new job schedule or difficulty finding childcare could be the difference between making it to your counseling appointment or skipping it. Or you may be traveling or battling rush-hour traffic, and unable to meet with us in person. Telehealth allows us to literally meet you where you are.
- Consistency: Being able to meet with us on a regular basis (especially in the beginning) plays a significant role in your success. Being able to take your appointment anywhere can allow for increased consistency, which in turn, can help to reduce your symptoms and feelings of stress sooner.
- Expanded Reach: Only those living in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area are able to access our in-person services, but through telehealth we are able to provide counseling and coaching services to clients throughout Florida. Telehealth also allows us to provide services to individuals who may have difficulty leaving their home due to physical, emotional, or logistical barriers.
Telehealth Services Offered
Morningstar Wellness offers telehealth counseling and parent coaching services to individuals over the age of 18-years-old. Individuals must be Florida residents. Clients with more serious mental illnesses (suicidal ideation, eating disorders) or addictions are not ideally suited for online services and are encouraged to seek in-person sessions.
