Evidence-based therapy, diagnostic evaluations, and performance coaching, all under one roof.
Morningstar is a psychology-led practice offering therapy, evaluations, coaching, and consultations designed to support children, teens, adults, parents, and professionals seeking more than symptom relief. They want support that feels thoughtful, practical, and human...and growth that actually lasts through every season.

One practice. Many points of entry.
One shared philosophy at the center of it all.
Whether we’re supporting a child, a parent, or a leader, the work is the same at its core: helping people make sense of who they are so they can live, relate, and lead with greater clarity and intention.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PRACTICE

FOUNDER • LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST • EXECUTIVE COACH
Dr. Lindsey O'Brennan
Dr. Lindsey founded Morningstar in 2018 with a simple belief: meaningful growth doesn't have to feel clinical. It can be thoughtful, deeply human, and even joyful.

As a psychologist and executive coach, Dr. Lindsey works with teens, adults, and leaders who strive to do meaningful work. Many are outwardly successful but find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, perfectionism, anxiety, and relentless self-pressure.

Her approach blends evidence-based psychology with thoughtful questions, practical insight, and actionable strategies. Together, you'll untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, reconnect with what matters most, and build a way of living and leading that feels both sustainable and authentic.

The work is thoughtful, but it rarely feels heavy. There's usually laughter, often a metaphor pulled from endurance sports, and a good chance you'll be asked about your dog.

Our Approach
HOW WE WORK
Psychologically Grounded
Research-backed, ethically practiced, clinically rigorous. Our work is informed by research, clinical training, and ethical practice.
Developmentally Informed
A seven-year-old, a seventeen-year-old, and a forty-five-year-old executive need fundamentally different things. Our clinicians pay attention to the individual’s developmental stage, strengths, and environment.
Practical and Applied
What happens outside the session is where it counts. We build toward that from day one -- because insight matters, but change happens through action.
Collaborative and Human
Clients have texted us from hospital parking lots. We've cried together and laughed together. We believe that growth happens in relationship, not in isolation.

Where understanding becomes change

OUR DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN
You don't need to have it figured out before you reach out.
Most people who contact us for the first time don't know exactly what they need yet. That's fine — figuring out the right starting point together is part of what we do. Tell us a little about what's going on, and we'll take it from there.
